Mini salami from Lidl can contain foreign bodies
A salami snack that was offered in some Lidl branches may contain pieces of blue foil. The Federal Office for Consumer Protection and Food Safety and Lidl Deutschland GmbH warn against consuming the product. The affected item will be recalled.
The mini salami “Dulano Delikatess Mini Salami-Snack sort. Classic ”in the 250 gram packaging from the manufacturer Schwarz Cranz GmbH & Co. KG may contain foreign bodies and will be called back. The product concerned has a best-before date of May 31, 2020, lot number L2325031007 and the identification number DE NI 10921 EG. The item was offered at Lidl branches in parts of Berlin, Brandenburg, Lower Saxony, Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt and Thuringia.
The product should never be consumed
For reasons of consistent consumer protection, Lidl Germany reacted immediately and took the affected product out of sale, ”Lidl writes in a consumer information on the company's website. Customers should definitely pay attention to the recall and never consume the product. Instead, it can be returned in all Lidl branches. The purchase price will of course be reimbursed there - even without presentation of the receipt.
Similar products are not affected
Lidl Deutschland GmbH emphasizes that only the product mentioned above is affected by the recall in the regions mentioned above. Other products sold at Lidl, including other items from the manufacturer Schwarz Cranz GmbH & Co. KG, are not affected by the recall.
"The manufacturer Schwarz Cranz GmbH & Co. KG apologizes to all concerned for the inconvenience," reports Lidl Deutschland GmbH.
